Royalty Pool
Each month, Skillshare takes 30% share of the Premium Membership revenue, and places it in a royalty pool for teachers. Then the number of watch time minutes from your videos (Premium and Free), are added up. - You must have at least 75 Premium minutes watched across all your videos to qualify for payment that month.

Entry Requirements
1. Prospective applicants can access the application form comprising of a series of 10 questions.
You don’t need to have your first class fully planned out when applying, however you’ll need to set time aside to consider the following:
- What your class topic would cover.
- What your students would have to do for the class project and;
- The takeaway key lessons students will learn.
2. Before submitting your application, you will need to submit a short sample teaching video, and share information about what you are interested in teaching for your first class. -
Other factors such as your experience and approach that you would bring to teaching.
3. Once submitted, the Skillshare team carefully reviews applications, and confirm if applicants are approved. – Usually within 2 weeks.
